Night Ranger and special guest Survivor will perform free concerts in honor of NASCAR Weekend in Las Vegas. The 14th Annual RaceJam concert at Fremont Street Experience happens March 11, 2017.
The evening of non-stop hits begins with Survivor at 8:00 p.m., followed by Night Ranger. Both bands will perform on the 3rd Street Stage at the intersection of The D, Four Queens and Fremont casinos.
Night Ranger’s success has been fueled by an impressive string of instantly recognizable hit singles. The band’s hits include “Sister Christian,” “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me,” “When You Close Your Eyes,” “(You Can Still) Rock In America.” Night Ranger was also one of the first big video bands, with more than 10 number one videos on MTV.
Night Ranger’s music can be heard in TV shows like “Glee,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Parks & Recreation” and innumerable others. Their work has also been featured in films like “Boogie Nights,” “Friday the 13th,” “Sixteen Candles” and others.
Survivor released their first album in 1980. Their first Top 40 on the Hot 100 came the next year with “Poor Man’s Son.”
Survivor’s big break came in 1982 when the band was asked by Sylvester Stallone to provide the theme song for “Rocky III.” “Eye Of The Tiger” hit #1 and stayed there for seven weeks. Their album, Vital Signs, was another huge success for the band, with Top 20 hits, “I Can’t Hold Back,” “High On You” and “The Search Is Over.”
The free shows by Night Ranger and Survivor are part of the 14th Annual RaceJam, a four-day event celebrating NASCAR Weekend with free nightly entertainment and NASCAR merchandise available for purchase March 6-13, 2017.
The concerts are held in conjunction with NASCAR Weekend, which features the Boyd Gaming 300 NASCAR Xfinity Series race on March 11, 2017, and the Kobalt 400 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race on March 12, both at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
All concerts are free and open to the public and parking is available at the Fremont Street Experience parking garage located at Carson and 4th Street. Arrive early and stay late, there’s a lot of things to do in downtown Las Vegas, including playing at some of the most exciting casinos in the world.
